Why Pre-School x ACP?
Pre-school photos haven’t changed in 30 years. We all know it, we all have them. The forced smile. The scared eyes. The bad hair (That parents seem to love and hang in the house for everyone to see) delivered in the little plastic books that end up in a draw somewhere until our adult selves want to see how cute we once were.
This isn’t my vibe at all. And as someone who has made a career out of capturing children & families - I felt like there had to be something more. And more parents who share my views.
The aim is to capture your children as they are. No forced smiles and scared eyes. No telling them to behave or look at me. Just spending a few moments of the day letting kids be kids and capturing the magic.
In the end, you will have naturally stunning portraits of your child to remember this stage of their lives.
How it all works

Before your shoot
Pre-School x ACP is a special, unique service offered to a select number of pre-schools, and families looking to capture their children in a different way.
This is not your typical pre-school photos.
We are capturing personality, details and the joy of this age.
Families will need to fill out the model release form below before your centre date.
There is no pre-payment required for this experience. -
On the day
All equipment & personnel will be provided.
We use simple backdrops and the best window to light. This means no flashing lights or strobes, no suitcases full of equipment. Simple and not overwhelming for your children.
Any siblings will be captured together
All questions from parents & families regarding booking and products will be answered directly through ACP
Accommodations will be made for students as required.
We will also be offering staff headshots, full of personality and fun at no charge! -
After
Families will be contacted directly when their galleries are completed & ready for viewing.
While single images are available we also provide packages.
Package options include -
Digital only - $100
We guarantee a minimum of 10 images, (5 in colour and 5 in black and white.) These will be available for download without watermarking. That's right - all of your images, no choosing required.
Print - $75
Your images printed in 5 x 7 format and delivered to your pre-school.
Sibling photos
If you have multiple children attending the service you will also have a complimentary colour & black and white sibling shot included.
Please note:
The image selection & editing of images is up to the photographer. No further alterations will be made.
Centres will be provided copies of the images for use in the centre, online ect

For Educators
Why does this work for you and your service?
- I aim for a stress-free experience for all, including you!
- I come into your room with minimal gear, set up near the best window for lighting and work with all of the kids in your room that day before moving on.
- I want you to be included! You are the safe space for so many kiddos and I want you to be a part of this for them if you are able.
- I will be singing, reading stories, playing games; I want you to be a part of this, and maybe even some of their friends in the room too!
- My goal is to spend 3-5 minutes with each child, so they are not overwhelmed or upset with the experience, and this should not cause too much disruption to your day.
For Families
How can you get your kiddos ready for photo day?
- I shoot very close up to my subjects, because this is about them, their details, their personality. Outfits are low on the priority list! Make sure they have a change of shirt/top packed but that’s about it.
- Get them to practise more than their smile - their silliest face, their sad face, their lion roar face! Anything you can do at home will help them be more confident with me.
- Show them the photo of me below! Tell them “This is Amy, she’s going to be taking your photos today!" It’s an amazing opportunity having 1 photographer for this as I will become the familiar face, lady-with-the-camera.
- Let them know they can keep their comforters. Their Riff-Raffs, stuffies, dummies, baby-dolls. Anything that brings them comfort is welcome during this process.
They may only have these objects for a small period of time, capturing them will be an amazing memory to look back on.
Remember I will not force your kids to smile. I will not force them to do anything. I will be sitting with them, talking, singing, playing games; but a sad face will still be stunning in print.

Hi! I’m Amy!
A passionate memory capture-er, lover of dogs, forever goofy child-at-heart.
I believe that if the house is on fire, once everyone is out safe, the first thing we would go back for is our photographs. They are THAT important to us.
I have been capturing families, newborns and even weddings for 4 years now and I am a believer in being the ever-present fly on the wall, constantly capturing my families.
This belief has driven me to pursue school photographs that make you feel something. That capture your children as they are, at this point in time in their lives.
Full of personality, laughter, shyness and more.
